Words from Willie for January 2010
Happy New Year
Hello my name is Willie Tryon and I'm the new youth pastor at the church of Christ. This year has held many surprises for all of us, everything from gas prices to the presidential election. As the New Year rolls in we look back and many of us resolve to make changes. It's funny how we do this every year isn't it? A person would think that eventually we would run out of things to change. But the problem is we do not always keep our resolutions, so we have to keep trying each year. That's kind of the way our God works isn't it? Every day we try to make good decisions to honor him, but often we mess up. The great thing about our God is that we don't have to wait a year to try again; we can try again the same minute we fail. It doesn't matter how bad it is or how often it happens, you can try again. No matter what surprises arise in this New Year our God will be there. Regardless of how long it has been God is waiting for you. He is cheering for you to succeed and overcome the challenges that lay ahead. So make your resolutions trusting Him, keep your chin up and have a great year.
Never give up, always try on.
